Structure node
Make Named Structure
Build a named structure (dictionary) from key-value inputs. Each input port has a user-editable name that becomes the dictionary key, allowing you to create structured data bundles with meaningful labels.

How It Works
Make Named Structure creates a dictionary-style data bundle. Unlike Make Structure which uses sequential numeric indices, this node lets you assign meaningful names to each entry. The port names you define become the keys in the output structure.
To add entries, connect a value to an available input port. A new empty port appears automatically. You can rename any input port by editing its label directly on the node, and that name will be used as the corresponding dictionary key.
All value types can be mixed within the same named structure. The output updates in real time as inputs change, ports are renamed, or connections are modified.
Use Cases
- Build configuration objects with named fields like "speed", "color", "radius" for downstream nodes.
- Create labeled data bundles for JSON export or structured logging.
- Package related parameters under descriptive names for cleaner graph organization.
- Define key-value mappings for lookup tables or settings dictionaries.
Tips
- Pair with Break Named Structure to decompose the dictionary back into individually named outputs.
- Use Get By Name to retrieve a single value from the structure by its key without breaking the entire dictionary apart.
- Port names are case-sensitive. "Speed" and "speed" are treated as different keys.
- Choose descriptive, concise port names since they serve as the dictionary keys in all downstream processing.
